Let’s Heal Healthcare
At its core, healthcare is a trusting relationship — people serving people, people working together, people trusting one another. Not only is trust the foundation of relationships between patients and providers, but it also underpins internal relationships among coworkers and between employees and management. Trust drives patient outcomes, which drive public health.
In recent years, for a variety of internal and external reasons, this foundational trust in healthcare has taken a hit. But, together, we can rebuild. It won’t be easy, but it must be done. Our collective health depends on it.
Let’s treat it like a calling
In 2017, Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care became Mercy Urgent Care. Under the simplified name of Mercy Urgent Care, our organization continues its 100+ year tradition of meeting the healthcare needs of individuals and families. Still a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Urgent Care is the only dedicated nonprofit urgent care network in the region, providing an alternative to hospital emergency rooms for the treatment of non-life-threatening illness and injury.
Let’s make it affordable
Mercy Urgent Care is committed to providing affordable healthcare to all of Western North Carolina. We offer financial assistance through our Compassionate Care program, and monthly MercyMe healthcare memberships starting at $29/mo for individuals, $59/mo for a family of four. A portion of every patient visit goes back to the Compassionate Care program—by visiting Mercy Urgent Care you are helping to provide urgent care services to another member of the community.
The Compassionate Care program is also funded by donations to the Catherine McAuley MERCY Foundation. This year, the goal of our annual Mercy Golf Classic fundraiser is to raise $50k—enough to provide 70 area families with a one-year MercyMe membership. Please consider sponsoring the event or participating.
Let’s make it accessible
Mercy Urgent Care is readily accessible with eight locations across five counties, all open seven days a week. We are excited to announce that we will be opening two new locations by the start of 2026, and look forward to serving more of Western North Carolina.
