How does a 4-plex test work?
A 4-Plex test option works to detect all four illnesses (influenza A&B, COVID-19, and RSV) in a single RT-PCR test sample. Using a sample collected on a nasal swab, an in-house PCR machine processes that sample to determine if any flu, COVID-19, or RSV cells are present. The test can be performed on ages 6 months and up.
When to consider a 4-plex test:
• Coughing or sneezing
• Headache or fatigue
• Fever over 100.4 degrees
• Nasal or chest congestion
• Muscle aches
• No known COVID-19 exposure
