You help us provide quality healthcare for others. A portion of your payment for services goes to support our Compassionate Care program, which provides services to lower-income patients. It also helps us send medical teams to suffering communities like Haiti, where medical care is critically needed.
At our April 13th ‘Mercy for Haiti’ fundraiser Asheville residents raised over $63,000 to go towards the new Alpha Omega Ministry clinic in Source Matelas, Haiti. Providing equipment such as exam beds, a radiology unit, trauma room lighting, stretchers, anesthesia machines, infant cribs and incubators, stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, lobby seating and etc.
“Our relationship with Haiti began when we felt called to respond to the needs of the Haitian people after the devastating earthquake in January 2010,” explained Dr. Ellen Lawson, founder of the Mercy for Haiti initiative. “We just returned from our 20th medical mission trip, working with our Haitian colleagues.”
